A reimagination of familiar images from art history.

At first glance, the viewer is presented with another seemingly exhaustive reproduction from The Art Book. Upon closer inspection, nuances of alterations can be identified, enticing the viewer to reconsider the image and the artwork’s role within history.

The historical contexts in which the artist and artworks are set are revised as each page is delicately removed from The Art Book; important themes and components are extracted from every image and revisualised using simple and subtle paper collage techniques. Infamous artworks are modernised with displaced subjects and art history is reinterpreted with a poignant and playful twist.
